Launch monitor numbers that actually matter in a fitting

A launch monitor can show dozens of numbers after every swing. Most golfers only need to understand a handful of them to know whether a club truly fits. Here is what our fitters watch on the Foresight GCQuad.

Why the data matters

Feel tells you what you like. Data tells you what works. Pairing the two is how we find a club that looks good behind the ball and performs on every swing, not just your best one.

The numbers we watch

1. Ball speed and smash factor

Ball speed is the biggest driver of distance. Smash factor compares ball speed to club speed and shows how well you are making center contact.

2. Launch angle and spin

  • Launch angle: how high the ball starts
  • Spin rate: how much the ball climbs, holds and stops
  • Together they decide carry and rollout

3. Dispersion

The longest shot means little if the next one is in the trees. We look at how tightly your shots group, because consistency is what lowers scores.

See your own numbers

Every fitting at our Plano studio walks you through your data in plain language so you understand why a club fits. Book a fitting and see what your swing is really doing.
